  1. Nonverbal communication is sending and receiving wordless messages. Communication is not only a verbal language. Messages can be communicated through gestures and touch or facial expression and eye contact. Meaning can also be communicated through object such as clothing, hairstyles, symbols, and icons. President Barak H Obama is the most influential president that I ever witnessed in my life time. He is an expert at using nonverbal communication technique. Although the words he uses are carefully chosen, his eye contact and tone of voice draw the right expression. In fact his nonverbal communication conveys most of the emotional meaning behind his messages. His audience seems to respond strongly to what they see, or to the tone of voice that he uses to speak the words they hear. Everything from dress, the amount of physical space between the speaker and audience, hand gestures, posture, facial expression, and tone of voice make him a great leader. I’m truly inspired by President Obama’s communication skills.

  2. I would have to say my mother is my leader. She shows me guidance through her actions by going to work everyday and attending and finishing colleges. She doesnt have to tell me what i should do to better myself, she just lives her life on a dail basis and i just watch her. I honestly believe in the saying "monkey see monkey do. Although, my mom have had various conversations with me in my life i still understand the point of achievement and that nothing comes to you; you have to work for it. I believe my mother have help me to understamd that I have to try to better myself in anyway I can and never give up on myself.

  3. One leader that has been very influential in my life is my father. He has taught me everything that has made me a man today, everything from how to act in front of others and how to treat your elders. My father would demonstrate to my brothers and I how to act in front of people and have the correct manners both verbally and nonverbally. When talking to people you are not close with, he use to tell us to say “yes sir” or “no sir” and not talk with any kind of slang. Act like you are educated and be respectful to the person in which you are speaking with and at the same time he demonstrated this when he talked. There are a lot of things that he taught us over the years but he always demonstrated to us, verbally and nonverbally, on how to be a man. Maybe it was his military training in Vietnam or maybe he just cared enough about his father hood, but whatever it was I am glad he did it now.
